Fast FOod in HOng kong

 

  In Hong Kong fast food is a very common thing, almost everywhere in Hong Kong are fast food shops and fast food could lead to many illnesses for example: cancer, heart diseases, and high blood pressure. In the worst case scenario these disease will cause death in Hong Kong 59% of the people died because of these illnesses.  

 

Side effects:

  Although Hong Kong’s fast food isn’t as unhealthy as other countries the fast food is still harmful to our bodies, because fast food uses a lot of sugar, oil, salt and fat.

 

Heart disease happens when there is too much fat in our body and it stops the blood flowing around your body, too much fat will also block oxygen from going to the heart and cause one of your heart muscle to die and could lead to heart disease.

 

Another way to cause heart disease is when we eat too much salt, it raises our blood pressure and when our blood pressure raises it stresses your bodys blood vessel causing them to clog or weaken.

 

Statistics and Facts:

 

Fast food shops are almost everywhere in Hong Kong  25% of Hong Kong people go there everyday and what are the result illnesses and because of illnesses possibly death. There are also a lot of fast food places that are really unhealthy to our bodies for example KFC, pizza hut, and jolly bee.

 

All these places are unhealthy obviously. Hong Kong's population was estimated to be 7,116,302 in July 2000. The population increased from 4.4 million in 1975 to 6.7 million in 1998, indicating a growth rate of 1.8 percent. With an estimated growth rate of 0.8 percent, the population will increase to 7.7 million by 2015.

 

In the year 2000 the estimated birth rate was 11.29 births per 1,000 people while the estimated death rate was 5.93 deaths per 1,000 people. Mostly because of fast food.

 

How to help?:


 There are many ways to help prevent people eating fast food. Having a healthy diet helps also if you normally eat fast foods every day, cut back to once a week or once a month. You'll be cutting your calories because you're not having the food as often, by having a healthy diet it also helps prevent us from having heart disease.

 

Try to eat more home cooked food and exercise at least twice a week. Other ways to help prevent you from eating less fast food are checking your wallet sometimes look at your wallet and see how much money you spent on fast food or maybe try to get your friends to help control your urges to eat food that are unhealthy to your body.
