Eco Park *Ratings out of 6

 

Ecopark:

Hong Kong’s population consists of 7.188 million individuals, including you and me. Hong Kong is facing eco challenges such as being one of the most polluted and cramped city in the world.  With our waste piling up in landfill’s.

 

The Environmental Protection Department of Hong Kong are doing many things to help reduce the health risks here. Such as, events, campaigns and educating Hk’s youth about this subject. But is this enough? How long will it be until the blaming stops?

 

The Hong Kong Government has a solution to this problem. In December 2003

An Ecopark.  The eco park occupies 200,000 square metres of land in Tuen Mun Area 38 and will be developed in two phases. Tuen muns eco park is very much similar to an industrial park exclusively for waste recycling and environmental engineering. This is the first of its kind in Hong Kong. This ecopark could be our solution to a better lifestyle.

 

Does the HK eco park visitors’ centre fully inform us of the territories eco challenges?

We rate this park a 5 out of 6 because it's a good educational experience and it's raising awarness about Hong Kong's situation. It is our job to keep Hong Kong healthy and clean.
